DVD Decrypter & DVD Shrink

If you want to copy a DVD, you need 5 things.
1. A DVD Read & Write machine
2. A DVD you want to copy
3. A blank DVD you can burn your copy onto
4. DVD Decrypter  - Download DVD Decrypter for "FREE" here
5. DVD Shrink - Download DVD Shrink for "FREE" here

This is a 3 Step process which takes at least 2 hours (but you can do other things while it's doing the stuff itself).

You WILL NEED these 2 files, please downlload them now and install them on your computer. This process only works for PC users (sorry MAC guys, unless you have Parallels or Boot Camp).

DVD Decrypter Makes an .iso file from the DVD. It's actually an image, but that's a little more than you need to know. The .iso file you make will be more than 7 GIG so make sure you have enough room on your computer to do this.

Put your DVD in the DVD read Write machine, and open up DVD Decrypter. Click on "Mode", "ISO", then "READ". Then click on the yellow folder to chose the location to put your ISO file. Then click on the . (see below)

Then click the bottom left image (DVD to Harddrive), then wait. When it's done you'll hear a funny sound.

Next

Go to the folder where your .ISO file is (there will also be a .MDS file, you can delete that, you don't need it and it takes up space) hover over the .ISO file it and see how big it is. If your file is bigger than 4.35 Gig you need to shrink it, keep reading from here. If the file is less than 4.35 Gig you don't need to shrink it Click here.

You'll open the .ISO file in DVD Shrink so you can shrink the file to put on a singe layer DVD (the cheap blank DVDs you buy at the store are only 4.5 Gig, and a reguar DVD is over 7 Gig, you can buy the 8 Gig blank DVDs but they are expensive!).

Click "File", "Open Disc Image...",

then click on the .ISO file you want to shrink.

The DVD will take a minute or so to open, then you can watch it on your computer! Nice huh? Make sure everything looks good, I usually play the video and make sure it works until the end (I don't play the whole thing I just click on the scroll to make sure everything's there.).

Press the button "Backup"

You only have to do this next part once to set the settings:
Select Back up target, click "
.ISO image File" if you don't it will save it as something else and won't work right.

Next, find where your other DVD .ISO file is and put a number "2" at the end of the name and save it, BECAUSE you CAN NOT save the original file over the original file.

Click "OK" and wait :)

DVD Decrypter again

Now to write the .ISO file onto a DVD.

Put your blank DVD in, and open up DVD Decrypter. Click on "Mode", "ISO", then "WRITE". Then click on the yellow folder to chose the file you want to put on your DVD.

Then click on the bottom left graphic of a hardrive to DVD disc, and let the magic work :)

When it's done it will make that funny sound again :)
